Want to take advantage of the latest innovations in QSR software while working in previous research projects? Upgrading to NVivo 8 is cost effective and easy.

It's also straightforward – with NVivo 8 you can open and work with projects that were developed using previous versions of our software; NVivo 7, NVivo 2, NVivo 1, N6 (NUD*IST 6), N5 and N4.

To find out how you can upgrade to NVivo 8 from a previous QSR product, select the option from the list below that best describes your situation.

You may qualify for a free upgrade to NVivo 8 if you're using NVivo 7 and you have a current software maintenance plan. To be eligible, your software maintenance plan must have been current on 12 March 2008, and must also meet any requirements relating to the cut off date. Your upgrade to NVivo 8 will give you access to our latest innovations, while still allowing you to open and work with projects you've developed in NVivo 7.

As a licensed user of NVivo 7 or NVivo 7 Student, you're eligible for our special upgade pricing. This offer is exclusive to existing users and represents a significant saving over the full price of the software. Your upgrade to NVivo 8 will give you access to our latest innovations, while still allowing you to open and work with projects you've developed in NVivo 7.

I have an NVivo 2 or N6 (NUD*IST 6) license

As a licensed user of NVivo 2 or N6 (NUD*IST 6), you're eligible for our special upgrade pricing. This offer is exclusive to existing users and represents a significant saving over the full price of the software. Your upgrade to NVivo 8 will give you access to our latest innovations, while still allowing you to open and work with projects you've developed in N6.

There is no special upgrade price from N6 Student to NVivo 8. If you're using N6 Student and you'd like to own NVivo 8, you'll need to pay the full price that applies to you.

I have an NVivo 1, N5 (NUDIST 5) or N4 (NUDIST 4) license

Projects developed using our NVivo 1, N5 or N4 software can be opened and worked with in NVivo 8. However, there is no upgrade price available from these products to NVivo 8. To own NVivo 8, you'll need to pay the full price that applies to you.

I am part of a QSR site license arrangement

If you use previous versions of NVivo or NUD*IST software as part of a site license agreement that your organization has with QSR, then it's likely that your organization also has licenses for NVivo 8. To be eligible, the site license agreement must have been current on or after NVivo 8's release on 12 March 2008.

Speak with your nominated site license contact about obtaining your copy of NVivo 8. If you don't know who your organization's site license contact is, contact us.
