Merge for NVivo is a separate product and can be purchased either individually or as a bundled solution with NVivo 2.
Importantly however, NVivo 2 has now been superseded by NVivo 8. NVivo 8 now includes the very best features of NVivo 2 and much more - including the new ability to work with PDF documents, photos, video and audio files. It also comes with an inbuilt project merge function.

While NVivo 8 is the successor to NVivo 2 and Merge for NVivo, it's our policy to support the two previous versions of any QSR product. Merge for NVivo is included in this policy, so users can still contact support for email or telephone assistance with everything from technical issues to upgrading your software.

To install and run NVivo 2 and Merge for NVivo, your computer will need to meet a series of hardware and software requirements. These requirements are provided below.
NVivo 8 was released in March 2006 and it supersedes our NVivo 2 and Merge for NVivo software.
