NVivo 2

Released in 2002, NVivo 2 revolutionized fine detailed analysis. It included powerful tools for combining subtle coding with qualitative linking, shaping and modeling.

NVivo 8 is the latest software in the NVivo product line. It includes the very best features of NVivo 2 and much more - including the new ability to work with PDF documents, photos, video and audio files. NVivo 8 also allows you to open and work with projects you've developed in NVivo 2.

Support

While NVivo 8 supersedes NVivo 2, it's our policy to support the two previous versions of any QSR product. Users of NVivo 2, can still contact support for email or telephone assistance with everything from technical issues to upgrading your software.

Support materials

Comprehensive support materials are still available for our NVivo 2 software:

  • The NVivo 2 software box includes a set of two manuals, including an 'NVivo 2 Reference Guide' and a text for 'Using NVivo 2 in Qualitative Research'. Extra NVivo 2 manual sets can be purchased online.
  • Getting Started in NVivo 2 is available to download as a PDF document. It's free and will help to familiarize you with the NVivo 2 workspace and guide you through your project set up.

NVivo 8 was released in March 2008 and it supersedes our NVivo 2 software.
