Marie-Hélène Paré is an eLearning consultant who lectures program evaluation in the Master in Health Social Work at the Open University of Catalonia, Barcelona, and a freelance methodologist in qualitative data analysis. She is a social worker by training and a qualitative analyst by passion. She moved from clinical practice to academia where she found a passion for doing and teaching sound, rigorous, and transparent qualitative analysis. For over a decade, Marie-Hélène has been teaching courses and seminars on the relationship between epistemology and qualitative analysis, coding qualitative data, seeking patterns and building relationships, and presenting qualitative findings in more than forty universities and research centres worldwide. Her methodological interests lie in the practices of qualitative analysis, qualitative evidence synthesis, emancipatory social sciences, indigenous epistemologies, and participatory methodologies. She is annual instructor at the ECPR Summer and Winter Schools in Hungary and Germany where she teaches Introduction to NVivo, the award course Qualitative Data Analysis: Concepts and Approaches and Advanced Qualitative Data Analysis. She has chaired, as well as participated as researcher guest, at a number of webinars held by QSR International.
