The latest service pack for NVivo Server 9 is Service Pack 1, which was released in April 2011. It’s available free to all NVivo Server 9 customers, as well as current NVivo Server 9 trial customers.
What's included in this service pack?
It's critical for NVivo Server administrators to download and install this service pack, as it ensures that users can work with NVivo Server and all future releases of the NVivo 9 client software, including NVivo 9.1 and 9.2 for example. If the NVivo Server software is not updated, it will not be able to work with future free releases of the NVivo 9 client software.
This service pack also allows administrators to view NVivo Server Manager in more browsers. While they can already access NVivo Server Manager via Internet Explorer 7 (or later) or Google Chrome 6 (or later), they’ll now also be able to access it via Firefox 3.6 (or later).
Importantly, Service Pack 1 also includes several fixes for issues that have been raised by NVivo Server trial customers. It will streamline the installation and management process for administrators.

How to download the service pack
All NVivo Server 9 customers and trial customers received an email on 19 April 2011, advising them that this service pack is available. This email included a link to download the service pack from the QSR website, which we’ve also included again below.

There’s no need to uninstall and reinstall software – the service pack simply updates the customer’s existing NVivo Server 9 software. The service pack file is 60 MB in size and on a 1Mbps broadband connection it may take approximately 2 minutes to download.
All users who are working together in a shared project should be using the same version of the NVivo 9 client Software.
