The latest software update for NVivo 9, called NVivo 9.2 allows you to work with NVivo 9 in the following six languages – English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese - and switch seamlessly between these languages at any time. A separate Japanese version of NVivo 9 is also available. This software update is available to all NVivo 9 and NVivo 9.1 current users. A separate Japanese version of NVivo 9 is also available.
NVivo 9 also lets you work with Unicode data, which means you can work with data in virtually any language in NVivo 9. This includes searches, names of nodes and attributes. NVivo 9 can also handle symbol and character based languages such as Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Please note, NVivo 9.2 allows you to open projects created in previous versions of NVivo including NVivo 9, NVivo 8 and NVivo 7. However, projects created in NVivo 9.2 cannot be opened in previous versions of NVivo, including NVivo 9.0 and NVivo 9.1.
