To cite QSR software products within a body of text:
It is customary to mention the company name, the software name and the software version. The type of program is optional. For example:
Example 1: Fred Smith uses QSR International’s NVivo 9 software.
Example 2: John Citizen used QSR International’s NVivo 9 qualitative data analysis software.
A Citation may be written in the same way as a reference to a book publisher (note, there is no need to repeat material contained within the body text). For example:
Reference for NVivo: NVivo qualitative data analysis software; QSR International Pty Ltd. Version 10, 2012.
Note, use the same format for NVivo 9, released in 2010; NVivo 8, released in 2008; for NVivo 7, released in 2006; and NVivo 2, released in 2002.
