Moving or backing up a project in NVivo 9 is made simple thanks to the efficient storage of the project database and documents within a single project file. If you want to move or back up data files, your NVivo 9 project will remain intact.
There are two ways to copy an NVivo 9 project for the purposes of moving the project or to back it up.
To make a copy of a project in NVivo 9 when the project is open:

NVivo 9.2 is the most recent version of NVivo 9. Projects created in NVivo 9.0 and NVivo 9.1 can be opened and worked with in NVivo 9.2. However, projects created in NVivo 9.2 cannot be opened in NVivo 9.0 or NVivo 9.1.
