Wayne Fitzsimmons, Chairman

B.E.(Comms), FIE Aust, CP Eng.

Wayne has extensive experience in a range of IT related roles. These have included ten years in senior management roles in the United States and four years working in the United Kingdom, as well as appointments in his native Australia. Wayne was both Managing Director and a Board member of Datacraft, an Australian public company, and was Vice President International for both Banyan Systems and Data General, in the United States.

Donald Fraser, Non Executive Director


Donald has an IT career spanning more than thirty years and an extensive history with QSR. He joined QSR as commercial manager when it was first established by Latrobe University in 1993 and had significant involvement though the early years of the company's commercialization. He handed on the responsibilities of CEO in 2000 and moved to a non-executive board role.

John Owen, Non Executive Director

BSc (Computer Science)

John has more than twenty five years experience in the IT industry. He began his career with General Electric in the United States, and has since held senior positions with large multinational corporations and specialized software organizations in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.

Robert Stewart, Non Executive Director

LL.B.(Hons), B.COM., MBA (HARV)

Robert is a company director and management consultant. He is currently Chairman of Melbourne IT, a Director of emitch Limited, Chairman of C E Bartlett Pty Ltd and President of the Baker Heart Research Institute. For eleven years until 1999, Robert was National Managing Partner of Minter Ellison, a leading Australian firm of solicitors.

As QSR’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris is passionate about turning business requirements into practical technology solutions. Chris is driven by the desire to deliver innovative tools to researchers across industries, to ensure they are able to uncover the valuable insights that will bring real world change, from increasingly complex data. With more than twenty years’ experience in executive roles within the information and business technology sector, Chris brings an extensive portfolio in global technology sales, marketing and business development from his roles at multinational organizations including Cisco Systems and Microsoft. 

    Adam Long

    Chief Technology Officer
    BBusSys (Hons), MIMS, GCertAppFin

As QSR’s Chief Technology Officer, Adam is responsible for envisioning and developing QSR’s software products. Adam is passionate about innovation and technology, especially where it is applied to assist people to better understand and improve the world around us. Adam has more than twenty years experience in technical and management roles predominately within the finance and telecommunications industries. Specializing in large-scale development projects, he has worked for IBM, Aviva Group, and ANZ Banking Group.

    David Fenech

    Director of IT and Services

As QSR’s Director of IT and Services, David provides strategic direction for our IT and technical services teams. David has more than fourteen years experience in the IT industry predominately in consultancy, service delivery and management roles. His specializations are maximising usability, stability, performance and continuity across a range of technical solutions to customers and networks worldwide.

    Joyce Chang

    Chief Financial Officer
    BBus (Accounting), CPA

As QSR’s Chief Financial Officer, Joyce is responsible for managing the financial aspects of our business, including sales order efficiency, tax/accounting compliances, internal and external audit, foreign currency dealings and financial reporting. Joyce has more than seventeen years experience in the accounting field across a broad range of industries, including financial services, health and IT. A qualified CPA, Joyce has held senior finance roles at Symbion Health (formerly Mayne Group), Financial Synergy and Bell Potter Securities.

    Rebecca Tallack

    Human Resources Manager
    BCom (Human Resources, Accounting and Commercial Law)

As Human Resources Manager, Rebecca’s role is to promote and uphold QSR’s company values across all offices. Rebecca has more than fifteen years experience in the human resources field across a broad range of industries, including Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and IT. Rebecca has previously held senior human resources roles at National Foods and Berri Limited.

    Tim Lyons

    Head of Global Marketing
    BBus (Marketing and International Business)

As QSR’s Head of Global Marketing, Tim is responsible for meeting the company’s commercial goals and ensuring that the products we produce have clear utility for our customers globally. Tim has more than fifteen years experience in marketing, working across public and government organizations and within both commercial organizations and agencies. He has worked globally in Europe, US, Australia and Asia and has held senior marketing roles at NZTE (New Zealand Government’s Economic Develop Agency), Leica Microsystems and Leica Biosystems (both part of Danaher NYSE:DHR a Fortune 200 organization).
